Self-Tanner Tips

Self-tanners come with some not-so-pretty side effects – spots, streaking and not-so-pleasant smells etc.

The good news is, new and improved self-tanners have hit the market, coming in rich natural looking colors to give you the perfect tan without the damaging side effects of the sun. These new formulas aim to get you glowing without much effort on your part.

How to avoid spots and streaks:

  • For best results, apply self-tanners to clean, exfoliated skin.
  • Wash your hands immediately after applying tanner.
  • Use a self-tanning spray such as Fake Bake Airbrush Self-Tanning Spray to achieve an even and natural looking airbrush tan.
  • Blotchy and uneven color can be avoided by keeping your skin constantly moisturized. Dry patches on your skin absorb more color.
  • If you can’t stand the smell of some tanners out there, or have sensitive skin, try Natural Very Emollient Sunless Tanner byAlba Botanica. The formula is all natural.
  • Use a mitt to avoid “orange” hands. Fake Bake’s best seller; Flawless Self-Tanning Liquid comes with a mitt and gives an intense professional color.
