Tonality, in hair, makeup and nails, was the vision for beauty at Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2014 show, reported WWD.com.

Francois Nars used all products by Nars to create defined cheekbones and big wide eyes. “I wanted the models to look like Greek statues, with no lashes and brows at all,” he explained.

Wigs in various shades were used to create a tonal look. “Everything about the look, from head to toe, is tonal,” said Guido Palau, working with Redken at the show. Palau created the tonal look with wigs in five shade variations. “We wanted them to look like you almost couldn’t tell what shade they were – is it pink, is it brown, is it blonde,” said Palau.

Palau had the wigs dyed, blew each out straight with Redken’s Satinwear blow-drying lotion, then used Redken styling spray and Redken hair spray to finish the look. The geometric cut was inspired by Jessica Lange, stated Palau.

Nails were kept short, filed into a rounded shape and polished with nude tones.

Model Kendall Jenner was one of the models who rocked the look as she walked the runway for Marc Jacobs at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Show in New York on February 13, 2014. Head over to WWD.com for a peek at all the fabulous back stage images.
